Jeffrey R. Anderson, Director

      Mr. Anderson was appointed Director of the Idaho State Liquor Division (ISLD) by Governor C.L. “Butch“ Otter on April 30, 2010. He also serves as Director of the Idaho Lottery, a position he’s held since January 9, 2007.

Mr. Anderson is Chair-Elect of the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA) Board of Directors.

Since 2007, he has served on the Board of Directors of, and has held a variety of board leadership positions with, the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL).

He came to state service after twenty-six years in broadcasting, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of CBS television affiliates KBOI (Boise) and KIDK (Idaho Falls).While in local broadcasting, Mr. Anderson was involved in a number of executive board-level posts for the Idaho State Broadcasters Association, including legislative liaison representing the industryís interests to Congress and the Idaho Legislature. He was the 2001 recipient of the National Association of Broadcasters Service to America Award for Service to Children .

Mr. Anderson received his Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree from California State University, Chico.

He resides in Boise, Idaho with his wife of 33 years, Theresa Anderson

Idaho State Liquor Division Deputy Directors'

Howard Wasserstein – Deputy Director for Purchasing Howard Wasserstein, Deputy Director for Procurement, Distribution and Retail Operations

Howard Wasserstein was born and raised in New York City, New York. He is a graduate of Alfred University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, in addition to an executive training program at The Wharton School of Management.

Mr. Wasserstein worked for the Seagram Company as a sales and marketing executive for over 25 years, and took early retirement when the company was sold. He moved to Boise, Idaho, to open a upscale franchise restaurant. In 2010, he moved back into the industry as a consultant with Hayden Beverage Company in Boise.

Mr. Wasserstein accepted his current position as Deputy Director in the Procurement, Distribution and Retail Operations division with the State of Idaho in May of 2011.

Jon Spence – Deputy Director for Information Technology and Security Jon Spence, Deputy Director for Information Technology and Security

Mr. Spence was appointed by Idaho State Liquor Division (ISLD) Director Jeff Anderson as Deputy Director for Information Technology & Security on September 16, 2013. He has been with the ISLD for nearly 20 years

While studying Physics and Computer Science at Boise State University, Mr. Spence was working part time at the Idaho State Fish and Game mail room and the BSU Bookstore. He applied to the ISLD in August of 1994 and was hired as a part time warehouse worker picking orders.

In 1998 he joined the Information Technology team. In 2001 he was promoted to a full time Associate Programmer and in 2003 he became the full time Senior Systems Technician and Web Design Specialist covering hardware, network administration, and creation of a new website. In 2008 he was promoted to Network Analyst taking on the advanced network and server duties for the ISLD and in 2013 assumed responsibility for the entire Information Technology and Security functions for the divisionís central office, warehouse, and retail network.

Mr. Spence is a Gem State native, growing up in Heyburn, Idaho. He resides in Boise.

Tony Faraca, Deputy Director for Finance & Human Resources, CFO Tony Faraca, Deputy Director for Finance & Human Resources, Chief Deputy

Tony Faraca joined the Idaho State Liquor Division (ISLD) on September 1, 2008. Prior to the ISLD, he worked in private industry and has extensive experience with large manufacturers and retailers including Chevron, Clorox, and Albertsonís.

Mr. Faraca has worked in a wide variety of administrative roles including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, analytics, contract negotiations, and human resources. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for capital project analysis, promotional and pricing analytics, consumer product launches, strategic planning, resource allocation, cost accounting, supply chain optimization, system integration, and organizational development.

Mr. Faraca is a graduate of the University of Idaho where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
