GUIDANCE DOCUMENT RELATED TO
STATE RETAIL STORE PREMISES
Idaho Code § 23-206(a) authorizes the director of the Idaho State Liquor Division (“Division”) to exercise general supervision of the conduct and business of the Division.
Idaho Administrative Rules defines a State Store as a retail store that sells liquor and is operated by state employees under the direct supervision of the Division. The Division interprets and advises that its State Stores include the wholly-leased or owned premises upon which the State Store structure sits, and including appurtenances and grounds held out for use by the Division and for its customers related to the Division’s operation of retail liquor business.
